Hi, it's Marisa. If you've got a question about a training method, spotted something that needs fixing, or just want to tell me about your dog's last training win (I genuinely love those), this is the page for that. There's no chatbot here and no ticket system — messages come to a real inbox that I read myself, usually between client sessions.

The Fastest Way to Reach Us

Email is it. Send anything to [email protected] and you'll hear back from a person, not a form letter. I run this site the same way I run my training practice — I still see clients three days a week, so replies aren't instant, but I do get to everything.

What Kinds of Messages Are Welcome

Genuinely, most of them. A few common ones:

  • Training questions — about a specific article, a step that didn't work for your dog, or something you're stuck on.
  • Corrections — if something reads wrong, outdated, or contradicts current best practice, tell me. I'd rather fix it than defend it. This ties into how we handle accuracy generally, which is laid out in our Editorial Policy.
  • Content suggestions — topics you wish existed, gaps you noticed, or a build you'd like to see (the crate furniture posts started this way, actually).
  • Technical issues — broken links, images not loading, a page acting strange on your phone.
  • Collaborations — trainers, vets, brands, or fellow dog-furniture DIYers. There's a dedicated page for this with more detail at Collaboration, so start there if that's you.
  • Press and interviews — happy to talk about reactivity, force-free methods, or the DIY dog furniture builds.

Tips for a Quicker, More Useful Reply

I can help faster when I'm not guessing. A few things that make a real difference:

  • Link to the specific article or page you're asking about.
  • Tell me your dog's age, breed (or best guess), and how long the behaviour's been going on — this matters more than people expect.
  • If it's a build question from one of the DIY posts, mention which step you're on and what materials you're using.
  • Keep it as detailed or as short as you want — I'd rather get a messy paragraph than nothing.

A Note on Health and Safety Questions

I'll answer training and behaviour questions honestly and in depth, including the timeline part nobody likes hearing — real behaviour change usually takes months, not days. But I'm not able to diagnose medical conditions, prescribe anything, or replace a hands-on assessment. If your dog is showing sudden aggression, limping, appetite changes, or anything that feels medical rather than behavioural, please see a veterinarian first. Six years in vet practice taught me that behaviour and health overlap more than people assume, and I'd rather send you to a vet unnecessarily than miss something. You can read more about how we frame advice on the site in our Disclaimer.

Before You Write In

If your question is about how this site is run, who's behind it, or how we make decisions about what to publish, a lot of that is already covered on our About Us page. And if you're planning to comment on the site or share our content elsewhere, it's worth a quick look at our Community Guidelines first — it keeps things friendly for everyone, including me.

One Last Thing

I started this site because I couldn't find honest information when Bruno was struggling, and I don't take it lightly that people trust what's here. So whether you're writing because something helped, something didn't, or you just want to send a photo of your dog mid-zoomie in the rain — go ahead. That inbox is [email protected], and I read all of it.
